Having served in the State Legislature previously, I witnessed firsthand the disparities that exist in contracting opportunities for Black people. By fighting for fair representatives and inclusion in state contracts, we can level the playing field and empower underrepresented communities to thrive.
When we support black-owned businesses, we are investing in the future of our state and building more equitable communities for generations to come.
education
Dee is deeply committed to transforming our education system so that every student will have access to a quality education. Dee will oppose any budget cuts that would undermine our schools and will work tirelessly to secure funding that will enhance student achievement.
healthcare
Dee is committed to leading the fight for accessible and affordable healthcare for the uninsured and seniors in our community. She will stand up against special interests and work to implement policies that expand healthcare coverage, lower prescription drug costs, and protect vital services for those most in need.
As a breast cancer survivor, Dee believes that healthcare is a fundamental right, not a privilege. She will work tirelessly to ensure that every individual has access to quality care.

She believes that every individual has the right to feel sage and secure in their homes and neighborhoods. This is why Dee will work tirelessly to support legislation that strengthens law enforcement, promotes community policing and enhances public safety.
